Wow! What a gem!
We ordered the pasta special, the clam pasta and the Branzino. We also got the foccacia w pistachio spread, and mozzarella and prosciutto.
Everything was excellent!
My favorite was the special pasta (tube pasta w truffle and cheese sauce)
Also got the vanilla and chocolate gelato.
Highly recommend! 10/10!

When it comes to Italian food, I am pretty hard to satisfy! Everything must taste good for me to truly enjoy my meal. I ordered the Foccacia bread and the Special Arancini for an appetizer and it didn't disappoint, the focaccia was so fluffy, light, and tasty. The Special Arancini was delicious. For the main course, we got mushroom risotto for the table, which was so creamy and tasteful. For desserts, I ordered Tiramisu, and I can confidently say it was the best Tiramisu I have tried in OC. The texture was light and not soggy at all, and the sweetness was so on point for me (not too sweet).
This restaurant has just become my favorite Italian restaurant. I’ll be back again, for sure.

Hands down the best Italian food I've ever had. I've gone multiple times now with my wife and each time they've had different off menu specials using seasonal ingredients and the service was superb. This is a gem of a restaurant that takes the culinary quality of fine dining and packages it in a cozy, intimate, and approachable experience.

My wife and I were in Aliso Viejo recently for four nights and ate at three different restaurants, one of which was Trattoria Trullo. All three of them were excellent, but Trattoria Trullo was our choice for a second visit because of its ambiance, exceptional wait staff, and sumptuous food. Each time, we ordered the Focaccia Pugliese and split the Insalata Lattuga. The first night, our server, Emily, recommended “Mandillli di Seta” al Limone, and my wife chose that entree. I selected the Rigatoni alla Bolognese. Both were excellent. We each decided to have the Tiramisu for dessert, but the portions were so generous that we decided to split one the following visit. Aurora, our waitress the second night, mentioned the squash pasta ravioli special, which she loves. We each followed her suggestion and totally endorse it whenever it’s available. On leaving, we spoke to the owner, Marco, telling him how much we had enjoyed both of our evenings there. The only complaint we have is that he doesn’t have a sister restaurant in Toronto.

Amazing food! We had the special pasta on menu tonight and I had the branzino (soooooo yummy) must get the bread to start with the pistachio dip. The food is next level you have to try at least once. We’ve been to Italy and this place is authentic!! Make reservations, sit inside and order up!!! Service was great! Highly recommend!!!

Absolutely unbelievably fundamentally phenomenal food. Everything was so fresh and delicious! It was some of the best food I've had at a restaurant in my life, from the focaccia appetizer to the side salads to the homemade pasta entrees, every single thing my family and I ordered was stunningly good. The spot itself is quite beautiful, with an open, wonderful patio and a very cool looking interior. Finally, the staff was the very best. Our waitress Allison was sweet, knowledgeable and really friendly; she made us feel totally welcomed, and it was a pleasure having her as our server. For a romantic night out or to celebrate something truly special, this has got to be one of my new favorite places.

Such a nice place! Everything was splendid from the food to the service. Shoutout to Jordan, and really every team member was so sweet. The food is all fresh and made on site and you can really taste the difference. My dish which had asparagus is around for spring. The dessert I had is also a spring offering. They said some dishes change up every 6 weeks or so. Everyone in our party enjoyed their dinner and desserts very much. We'll surely return.

Finally, a truly authentic Italian restaurant in Orange County. The food is exceptional—simple, high-quality ingredients prepared the right way. Marco, the chef, does an outstanding job sourcing and importing many of the ingredients directly from Italy, and you can taste the difference in every dish.
Coming from someone born and raised in Italy, this is the real deal. I’ll be coming back again and again. Highly recommended.

Great spot! Parking can be a little tricky in the front when it’s crowded, so I recommend parking behind the restaurant—it makes things much easier.
The food was delicious, and you should definitely ask about the specials. I had the focaccia sandwich special and it was so good I finished it pretty quickly. Even the desserts were impressive—the picture I included was taken within the first minute of it hitting the table because we couldn’t wait to dig in.
I would absolutely come back again. It’s definitely on the pricier side, but worth it for the quality and experience 😅

We went here every week for two years up until we had are son and we’re starting to go again. It’s truly the best Italian food I’ve ever had. The waitresses are always a pleasure and know us well at this point. The owner is super kind and makes his restaurant look and feel so lovely and cozy. Not to mention the delicious menu he comes up with every season.
